About Our Church

Who We Are

Our Story

By the grace of God and for the glory of God, Grace Bible Fellowship Church is a congregation in suburban Harrisburg, committed to the Word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Grace Bible Fellowship Church began in 1920 as a mission of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ — the body that later became the Bible Fellowship Church in 1959. Our congregation first met above a fish market at Broad and 3rd Street, later moving to Broad and Fulton.

In 1949, the church relocated to Division and Riley Streets, and in 1973 built its present sanctuary on Colonial Road, where we continue to gather and worship today.

We are committed to expository preaching, proclaiming the whole counsel of God, worshiping in all of life, submitting to Scripture in every area, pursuing holiness together, building loving relationships in the body of Christ, and sharing the gospel with the lost.

Director of Music

Jesse has been part of Grace Bible Fellowship since 2008 and serves as the Director of Music. A local music educator, Jesse is passionate about cultivating a love of music and helping others develop and deploy their musical gifts. His approach to church music is rooted in the conviction that corporate worship singing is first and foremost an act to be carried out by the congregation. He deeply values the rich heritage of Christian hymnody and the vital role of congregational song in the life of the church. Jesse treasures serving alongside his fellow musicians and encouraging the congregation to participate wholeheartedly in singing God’s praises.

Christine Danielewicz

Church Administrator

Christine has supported every area of ministry at Grace since October 2022. She previously taught English as a Second Language in the Central Dauphin School District and gave piano lessons. Her life verse is Galatians 2:20–21 — "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." Bible Fellowship Church

Grace is a particular church within the Bible Fellowship Church (BFC), which traces its roots to the mid-1850s as the Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church and took the BFC name in 1959.

The BFC is "a unique hybrid of reformed theology and anabaptist emphasis on believers baptism by immersion," with more than 60 churches and missions committed to preaching God's saving grace and spreading the gospel to all people.

It is a connectional church: local congregations are autonomous but not independent, united by a shared commitment to the truth of Scripture and overseen through an Annual Conference of pastors and delegates.
